THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST JUNGLE JUSTICE

Marilyn Oma Anona, a young Nigerian talk show host, public speaker, media and social entrepreneur, is leading the campaign against jungle justice in Nigeria. What is Jungle Justice? Jungle justice, or mob justice, is a form of public extrajudicial killings where an alleged criminal is humiliated, beaten, or executed by a crowd or vigilantes without a fair hearing. Many victims are later found to be innocent, making this practice inhumane, barbaric, and unjustifiable. Consequences Jungle justice has increased at an alarming rate, with daily killings and over 50% of victims being innocent. This practice fuels lawlessness, insecurity, and hatred.
